Why does the concorde have so high landing gear?

Joystick for flightsim. Yokes for real planes.

Probably to keep debris from getting sucked into those low-slung engines. I could be wrong- I'm not an engineer. Also, maybe to provide clearance for the rear fuselage on rotation. They need a little retractable wheel in the tailcone as it is.
