With what you can after your meeting today.

I know several of us are very curious as to your disposition and that of Fairchild.

Trust events will benefit you all.

Best Regards,
Greg

Okay, Í´m not TechRep but: Financial Times Deutschland reports this, source is the insolvency administrator:

* If no investor who is willing to take over the company as a whole is found until July 1st the 728 project could be shifted to a new entity responsible for everything, marketing, development and production.

* The 328JET, customer support and Airbus production would remain in a "FD-follow-on company".

Everyone, I have no idea about who the potential partners are at this time, I wanted to clear that up. The company has some internal struggles during these rough times and we WILL pull through this. The 728 will be a reality and the company has more than a few options regardless about what the media is telling you.

There are of course those who would like to see FD go away but this will not happen. You would be surprised behind the scenes the support we are receiving from various financial institutions, vendors and governments. The company will emerge from this insolvency leaner and meaner and quite frankly it was a wake up call to become more efficient.

Well lets see...
GECAS .......cancelled
ASA ..........cancelled
Boeing........cancelled, not interested
That leaves LH as the only remaining customer for the 728.
Perhaps the prototype should be used as an airport diner...
Suspect the project is D E A D.

GECAS was instructed to file the technicality in case the USA DANA umbrella collapsed and had to declare insolvency. Officially, the US operations are solvent and making money.

It really doesn't make a difference if the partner is Boeing or McDonalds; point is cash infusion is paramount. Boeing was key because of marketing potential but since the 728 is the best 70/90 seater frame and the only true 4th generation aircraft on the market it will sell itself given time.

GECAS had an identical order for the EMB-170 want to know how many aircraft GECAS has moved with that project? 0

These are tough times and the market climate dictates the conditions. You can't sell aircraft in this market climate and even Boeing and Airbus have seen this.

We will pull through and the project is far from dead. Even in the worst-case scenario, someone will pick up the project, there was too much money invested and it would be stupid to drop an off shelf aircraft such as the 728.

This debate is almost the same one as with the 717 some weeks/months ago....so lets wait and see. I hope (and I am sure) that we see the FD aircraft some more years up in the air. These little birds are really good.
