Anyone know what aircraft the Saudi's brought to Texas to meet with Pres. Bush? Is Waco the airport used for Presidential business?

I think it's an A340.

That or an MD-11. The quick news footage I saw a single center main bogie landing gear.

Yes that is not Waco  Smile

The nearest base to Waco is GAAF at Ft Hood, although the news said they were flying into Waco Airport, that of course could be incorrect. I haven't seen any alerts or orders on the movements yet

Though the Saudi's are staying in Houston. As they said on the news it was the closest city with accommodations 'suitable' for the Prince and his peeps  Smile

They even showed the Princes 'Royal Tour Bus'

The picture is taken in Tucson. The three quonset hut hangers belong to Hamilton Aviation. Plus you can see the Flying Hospital L-1011 in the background, which has pretty much sat in that spot.

That is not the plane in which Prince Abdullah came......that is Waleed Bin Talal's plane in the picture. The saudi plane to texas was the A340 that belongs to the Saudi ambassodor to the United States.White and Grey livery(pics on this database)It was shown clearly in the news today......and regardless Abdullah would never be onboard the Kingdom Holdings A340 illustrated in the picture above

The only shot I saw with the plane in it was the Prince standing inside the front door atop the airstairs. The door was a slide-to-the side Airbus style door and the livery was that of Saudi Arabian Airlines so I am assuming it was an A340.

Well, I dont know what to say- unless this was file footage they were using, but the video of him (on NBC)disembarking from the airplane clearly showed the white/tan w/gold cheatline Saudi livery- is that A340 pictured above now in the Saudi livery?

Yes when he flew into Houston, or whatever his first stop was, he came in his usual B743 in Saudi Colors. However when we flew to Crawford, he flew in the A340 that belongs to the Saudi Ambassador to the US. The picture of that plane has been provided by Qatar......look above at the small picture(NOT the Kingdom Holdings one)
