When I am in college, which will be a couple of years, I plan on studying abroad, specifically The University of new South Wales. Anyway, I am from New York, and after looking at my flight options, going through Europe seems to be the route that most interests me. I love the exoticness of connecting through Asia. From New York City I would be on British Airways on a 744 or 772. What I'm wondering is from LHR to SYD, is it better to go on British Airways or Qantas? By the time I go all of QF's planes will have PTV's. Do you think that QF will use the A380 on these routes? Looking foward to your responses.

If the QF flight has PTV's, then go QF - QF's new IFE has games and a sat-phone, even in Y, in addition to the video channels, whereas BA just has the video channels. I also find QF's seats in Y to be more comfortable than BA's.
As for the A380's, they are not due for introduction until around 2008 - I can see them on SYD-LHR and SYD-LAX routes.
