AA Beefs Up Service Between Miami And Northeast

American Airlines is beefing up service between Miami and the Northeast this June (15Jun02). New service announced today:

-3rd daily to Baltimore/Washington
-6th daily to Boston Logan
-8th daily to Washington National (in addition to previously announced 7th daily starting the same day)

The BOS and BWI flights are brand-new, DCA is a resumption of previous flights. In addition, AA will also beef up service the same day to LAX and PAP and new service to MDE and STI. Nice to see AA expanding...

I´m just wondering what United is going to do to grab 25% of MIA´s market share by 2010 as stated in other postings... Honestly, looking at the current situation, I think this is impossible.

Great! Now, the passengers are need get beefed up as for more flight into and out from Miami hubs to DCA, BWI, BOS, PAP, and etc. This is need get back of business again as for after 9/11. Also, did you know about at MIA airport will constructed new WorldGateway concourse at MIA hub into of the future. They are still working on the concourse and etc to do. ALso, as for new concourse J will be home of United Airlines as for Star Alliance by the airlines. You guys that did't know that hear about something goes on at MIA airport. This is need get beefed up more new nonstop from MIA-MHT, PHX, LAS, MCI, SAT, AUS, MSY, SAV, and anywhere else need get beefed up more flight increase by the new nonstop. Also, hopefully into of the future will be try get an new nonstop on an international flight to Tokyo, Japan?!?!? Well, that it as for now. Good day!!

Ciro, I am wondering about that too.

As of now, it looks like American has about 90% of the Miami market. It will probably increase as the AA/Oneworld super terminal opens in a few years. True, Star is opening one, but AA and Oneworld have by far been more dominant than UA/Star has at MIA.

Blink182, time to readjust those figures. AA has 47% of MIA and less than 35% of the local Miami area (MIA/FLL) and only about 28-30% of the Miami/South Florida market (MIA/FLL/PBI). Delta is #2 (healthy 20% or so). I want to say USAirways is #3, but I am not positive. CO #4, WN #5, UA #6 or something like that.

AA is expanding at MIA, they should have kept their 727. Anyway, I always wondered why UA wasn't bigger at MIA considering that PA was.
