Can anyone recommend the best seat in Virgin's Upper Class on the 744. I'll be flying to Orlando (MCO) and was also wondering if they have the full upper class features on this route ? Also wondering if all 744s have now been upgraded to the new upper class. I'd be interested in anyone's experiences also.

Virgin's LGW based 744s are now around 1 year old. I don't think they are fitted with the new Upper Class seats (I think the seats could possibly be Alitalia specification). Upper Class is located in the nose section. They are fitted with the Nova entertainment system - Movies, TV channels but no games. Upper Class passengers can also choose a Movie to be watched on an individual player. Beauty therapy/massages are not normally available on MCO flights.
Although your plane may not have all the features that the LHR ones do, I hear Virgin's Upper Class service on the MCO route is really good. Have a great flight!

We have got G-VGAL operating out of LHR at the moment, which is an LGW based a/c. They do not have the beauty therapist service or bar onboard, as they are config'd for more economy pax, as the routes out of LGW are more 'Holiday' destinations.
Shamrock is correct that they do have the Alitalia seats in Upper and currently no plans to install the 'New' upper seat on the LGW a/c due to costs etc., and I would ask for a seat as close to front as poss, as last row in upper is in front of the bulkhead between upper and economy, and the first row of economy has the bassinet position which = screaming baby!!.
Enjoy the flight

Thanks for the info everyone. I think i will keep my existing allocation of 6A on both legs. The onboard bar isn't a problem for me as i don't drink. I have heard a great deal about the service and i look forward to it.
