I was at ONT today and I got a picture of
a Delta 737 800 ! I swear it was !!! Delta
used to fly the 737 300 in there. Can somebody
tell me or give me some info on this so I do or
don't look like a fool!
BTW I hope to get the picture on by the
end of the week!

Hmmm, I just went to Delta's web page and looked at their aircraft, the fleet page does not have a 737-800 on it yet....then I checked all of the flights I could think of to ONT, I found a 737-300 from SLC..maybe they just haven't updated their site for that aircraft and its routes.
I will keep looking...sorry I couldn't help.

I just did the same thing Capt K !
Then I called Delta collect hehehe, and
they told me that I'm a idot and that the 737800
is only on the east coast right now! So I agreed
and thanked them for their great observation!
So it was a 737 300 headed for SLC with
the new paint job.

I think if you called me collect asking me a question like that I would give you the wrong answer. I must admit I do the same thing and ask which is the correct way to put the luggage on the trolley. Did it seem really long as the 737 300 is alot shorter then the 800. I heard the 800/900 fly more like 757.
And about updating there webpages BA have not updated theres with the 150 320 orders or the new 777 ones.

Delta flies the 737-800 three times a day into Greenville-Spartanburg from Atlanta. When viewed from the ground and the plane is about 4-6,000 feet up it really looks like a 757. Beautiful plane. I should have some pictures posted of it this week, as well as one of Continental's -800's taken in Cleveland.

You guys are pretty certain that FedEx spotted a -300, but DFW-ONT has long been an MD-90 and with those leaving the fleet ASAP -- DL can't stand them --
I wouldn't be surprised to see an -800 show up on this route.
FedEx-- check your pic and note the registration and you could make an 'official'
