I did not state in my previous title that it was BREAKING NEWS!!! It's not my fault that people are looking for a train wreck!!
I'm to upset to rewrite the whole post. Did a Delta DC-8 crash into a hotel in New Orleans in 1967. 1967! Not today! 1967!
Also, did Delta have a DC-9 crash in Chattanooga,Tennessee?
Listen Betty, don't start up with your 'White Zone' s*** again.

I didn't delete your thread (actually, I replied to it with a link to where you could find more information), but I can see why it was deleted. We don't want people clicking on a link that a plane just crashed into a hotel, and your topic was somewhat vague on this. Since the Civil Aviation forum is commonly used as the first place at which the notification of an air disaster is posted, we have to be pretty sensitive about topics and what they say. Sorry about that.
In any case, Ex_SQer is absolutely right...just go to that site, go into the crash database, and do a search for all Delta crashes. You'll see it listed there, and you will be able to click for more information. However, it doesn't give much more than you probably already know.

"Date: 30 MAR 1967
Time: 00.50 CST
Type: McDonnell Douglas DC-8-51
Operator: Delta Air Lines
The DC-8 had just taken off from New Orleans runway 28 and was in the process of executing a simulated two-engine out landing approach to runway 01 when the aircraft lost control. The DC-8 crashed into a residential area, destroying several homes and a motel complex. The plane came down some 2300ft short of the runway."
