Howdy folks...
I'm going abroad as an exchange student to the Netherlands with AFS this summer, and today I recieved my travel itenerary.
Aug 22
UA #956 JFK-LHR
Aug 23
UA #958 LHR-AMS
I'm guessing that #956 is prolly a Boeing 777, but I'm not sure, and I have no idea on #958. Can anybody confirm what I'm flying, and what I can expect?
PTV's would be cool, but I'm sure I'll just end up talking with all the other AFS people as about 50 of us make the first leg together, and 15 make the second leg.

I didn't know that UA operated flights within Europe. What are the others if there are any?

Hi there! I know this is not relevant I have been abroad with AFS before.....Two programs, one to West Germany (yes, that dates me some) and the other to Turkey.....Have fun, and no, you will spend all that time talking to other AFS'ers on the plane, I doubt you will spend much time on the PTV!!!!!!
By the way, AFS used to ALWAYS used to use Sabena to just about everywhere across the Atlantic from the U.S. This must be a testament to what people said about Sabena filling up their seats with lots of low yield tickets..

This one is also a little off topic. I am looking into a foreign exchange student program. Have fun. What country should I consider?
Two rules in aviation, don't hit anything and don't run out of gas, cause if you run out of gas yer gonna hit something.
