Overall winner: PIT
They have a great variety of food and shopping options and everything is within reach no matter where you arrive or leave from in the aiport. It's also incredibly clean and classy.

LOL frequent flier. I have heard nothing but good about PIT. Everyone I know that has traveled through there says it is an excellent airport. Unfortunately, I have never flown through PIT. Another airport that I feel deserves an honorable mention is VIE. VIE seems to be rarely mentioned in this forum but in my opinion it is one of the nicest airports. It has a truly classy feel to it and it is also home to one of my favorite airlines..Austrian.

Wow. That makes me happy that ATL is the worst in your mind Exusair. That sounds strange coming from me I'm sure because I live in Atlanta and because of that, ATL is the airport I use most. It really does make me happy though. Because I must be used to the bad attitude, etc., I don't notice it, so when I am in other airports, it will seem better. I'm not trying to sound snotty by saying that I don't notice it, because I respect your opinion and believe it, I just don't notice it all that much because like I said, I'm probably used to it.

In defense of ATL, there are lots of concessions in every concourse. You can have fast food or eat at someplace like TGI Friday's. There are also lots of shops spread throughout the terminals.

ATL by Concourse:
Worst (A): Paschals followed by Wall Street Deli
(B): Popeyes
(C): Wendys
(D): D is OK
(E): Le Petit Bistro followed by the Chinese food place
(T): T is OK too.
ATL Worst Concession Hall of Fame: Mo' Betta' Chicken. Now the inhabited by Popeyes on B-Concourse. Likely employing the same people.

Best Place: MSP Minneapolis / St. Paul
Great selection of restaurants and shops.
Worst Place: HNL Honolulu
Hardly any restaurants and the shops are boring. The restaurants are a big deal here because most flights out of HNL are aprox. five hours.

My vote would have to go to PTY- Panama City, Panama.
The only food stand I saw was a Hot Dog stand, the stores are all conglomerated and sort of bunched up all together. The airport looks like a bazaar in the middle of a very busy city.

I have always thought ATL and ORD had pretty good places to eat. The selection is pretty extensive and it's not too pricey, relative to other airports.
On the other hand, I have never been impressed with IAH; DTW was pretty bad also. And now that I think about it CLE would also be a horrible place to find food on a connection. Thank goodness it's my home airport and I don't have to connect here.

LAS at Terminal 2 is probably the worst.
all shops and eating areas if you can call it that are located beyond security checkpoint.
The airport was kind enought to supply a coke machine and an ice cream machine where you can get $ 3.00 ice cream sandwiches.
Beyond security we have a Burger king and a Pizza Hut.
Pit and Yvr are great !!
D gates at Terminal 1 in LAS is great !, great variety !

Worst I have seen so far was ORD, though the old DTW was pretty bad.
So far (knock on wood) I have had very pleasant experiences with the WorldGateway. There was a slow down or two, but I think the employees were some what new. Aside from the speed of service they were friendly, and the selection of vendors is quite good.
