Concorde is expected to participate in the queens jubilee weekend this sat/sun with a flypast involving all types of aircraft from the spitfire and lancaster, to the Red Arrows and Concorde passing overhead in formation, a sight not to be missed either in london or on TV!!

Noticed concorde fly over twice in half an hour which is very unsual, then made a turn back in a direction towards Heathrow after that. Would this have anything to do with the jubilee?

Was that today? I've not been at work today, but I've a friend who's an aircraft controller at BA, may have been on duty, I'll give him a ring.
I heard it go at about 10:50.
If not, was it on Wenesday, when we did the practice flight for the flypast?

Todays BA002 arrived at 17:30(ish) so it was probably just in a holding pattern awaiting it chance to land.

Yeah - it was today that it happened. Never seen it take about 30-45 minutes in a pattern, it only just goes over the once.

I was at my brother's school speech day and Concorde came over about 1715hrs yesterday - we were near Bracknell, Berkshire so it was landing over Windsor. Looked fantastic, as always.
