Wow, was that a good spotting day at FRA yesterday, maybe the best I have ever had there. The weather was that perfect that we all got a sunburn.

A short question:

Godbless, Fly-K, SQ325, Herbman, and me saw yesterday an Aero Lloyd A 320 with Sabena colours on the tail and on the engines, does anyone know the old registration (when it was in service for SN)?

Here is a pic from the plane:

Thanks in advance!

Patrick,

I tried to find it out but so far havn't found the SN reg. yet.

But you are absolutely right, it was probably the best day ever in FRA.
Next time I'll put on some suntan lotion before to prevent such a intense sunburn... I just came back from the hospital since it has reached a level where is isn't fun anymore...
But no matter what the price is.... it was worth it!
Everything was just awsome.

Thanks for the Sabena question Sabena332.

I think I know it in the meantime, OO-SNG, but I am not sure for 100%.

Other suggestions?

Frederic

Max,

you have really been to hospital because your sunburn is that intense? I hope that it is better right now! I had luck because my skin don`t hurt no longer. But as you already said, it was worth it.

Frederic,

great that you found out the old registration. If anyone knows it for 100%, please post it.

Patrick

Hi Ivica,

I hope that you are also at FRA at the next meeting!

Except the mentioned Aero-Lloyd/Sabena A320 we saw Cyprus in the new livery, Croatia with an ARJ, ATA with L1011, Continental has been there with the 764 and with the 777, and World Airways with DC-10 to name just a few.

I had to go to CGN instead of FRA on saturday, but when we were arriving at the gate, I had the opportunity to get an Atlantic Airways Lockheed L-188 Electra. Don't know how old this bird was, but obviously it has not been in a very good (visual) condition...

Why were there two CO aircraft @ FRA? Was the B777 a diversion?

The 764 was the regular EWR flight and the 772 was a special flight to the US air base.

Good idea Bjoern, it is a long time ago that I saw a 727 take off. Unfortunately the 707 did not leave during we stayed at rwy18. We forgot some other specials: Two Sibiria TU-154 and the first LH 742 flight since a couple of month, or do you remember the take off roll of the IB 320? That crazy guy was rolling for an unusually long time only on the main gear before the plane took off, great "show"!

Patrick
