Thanks to the masterful illustration skills of puck, my vision for a new paint scheme has become much more polished. Some will inevitably hate it, but I feel it is a generally timeless look. One last thank you to puck! Please support his skills by visiting http://www.puckgraphique.com

Hass, those are excellent colors. I have two suggestions:
first, put the silver cheatline at the same position as the current line is on the current scheme (at the bottom of the doors), but keep the thickness as you have it.
and, maybe put something there that identifies the type of aircraft, and maybe come up with a nickname too (like in the 70s, "747 Friend Ship") or in the 60s, DC-8 Jet Mainliner.

Puck has definitely improved the visual representation of your design. Nice to see some collaboration among forum members here. I'd drink to both of you but I've already had enough for one evening.

Not bad, except for one thing: it's still too dark.
I'm hoping that UA--if they ever adopt a new livery--use something derived from the 1960's livery.

Hey
i saw the site, it was great. i also saw the new livery design for AI. It looks too colourful. Although i agree on the justification, butthen india is a colourful country. I guess the "chakra " on the tail looks cool, but the green fuselage and total red body becomes too much. There should be more of white than just the wings. Thats a suggestion, being an indian.

I really do like this round of paint jobs. I see you are still using my tail design!

Imagine if the light blue on the tail was the same metallic hue as our b m i lettering.....it would be stunning in the sun and would be seen for miles. It would also provide another visible link for Star Alliance.

Much nicer than the original one you proposed. But I think everyone is living a pipe dream if they think UA is ready for a new paint scheme! #1 - the current lvery isn't that old and #2 - they have no money to repaint an entire fleet!! They have much larger issues at this point to deal with.

I think the liveries are great
But-
I am not sure-call me stupid lol- but will the cheatline be reflective silver- as in the American Airlines DC10 Silver skin? I think that would be better if not- and have u thought as to whether the larger u on the tail, or the area below the cheatline, could be reflective silver? If they are this already and it is because of my ignorance, it is perfect in my opinion. If not, it is still the best livery I have seen- very modern, and espically on a 747, very awe-inspiring. Love it!!!

The Swiss Airways scheme is fantastic !!
The Air India scheme is a good start, but there is waaaay too much red and green. It's the livery equivalent of a 1960s acid trip with Ravi Shankar and the Rolling Stones, and the Maharishi thrown in for good measure. I like the red upper body but it needs to combine some of the elements of the Canada 3000 scheme. Perhaps a duller red and a beige lower body.
