Does anyone know why it was there?

It was on the EMA website due to arrive at about 1200, but landed at 1400 something. Arrived from Newcastle with HLN flight number and departed at about 1600. I was just slightly late and couldn't get a photo, but it was in the old colours.

So, anyone know why it was there?

Repaint ? Storage? Could be one of those reasons?

I wandered about the maintanence or repaint bit, but it arrived at 1400 something and departed about 1600 ie only in for 2 hours.

There are sometimes a few interesting 737's around but I don't think bmi or anyone else carry out maintanence on 757's at EMA anyway. I'm still clueless.

There was an Air Holand 757, PH-AHE, at NCL on sunday, operating the Macedonian Airlines Kefallonia flight. So maybe the EMA visit was also an a/c sub?

UPDATE:

G-BYAR (ex-Britannia) in new Air holland colours is stored at Manchester.

Air holland bought an ex-Air Transat B752 which will receive new Air holland livery.

Unfortunately Air Holland has no money; and most airlines are run by people that know more about credit control than Tony Gram, so it's unlikely that they will be able to persuade them to take shares in exchange for aircraft!  Big grin Big grin
