Does anyone know, if Bangkok will close the Don Muang Airport when the new Suvarnabhumi Airport opens it doors? Several sources say, that the Don Muang Airport will be used for Domestic flights after 2005. Other people say that it will be completely closed after 2005.

I don't think the government has decided yet what to do with Don Muang after Suvarnabhumi Airport becomes operational. I've heard that the airport could be used for military operations, that would make sense as the facilities are adequate. Another story floating around is Don Muang could be relegated to domestic-only flights, but wouldn't it be practical for such flights to be handled at the new airport?
