Airbus In Turkey?

I have seen some news in the Turkish paper which claims that Airbus is opening a fuselage production base in Izmir, Turkey. It did not sound very realistic since Turkey is not a part of the Consortium or the EU.

Can anyone confirm this news or any comments to be made?
