Delta Air Lines Load Factor Up 1.5% For May

Delta Air Lines announced that passenger load factor (systemwide) was up 1.5% in May to 71.7%.

Traffic fell 5% and capacity was cut by 7% year on year.

Domestic traffic fell 3.3% and capacity decreased 4.8%. However, this pushed load factors up 1.1% to 70.2%.

International traffic fell 9.9% and capacity decreased 13.8%. Again, load factors were higher at 76.8%, up 3.3%.

Revenue Passenger Miles (yields) fell 6.9% and punctuality was at 99.1%
