Why Does The L-1011 Smoke So Much

Well, at first I thought it was the hot gases going into the cold air, but now it is July in this pic

and it is still smoking. I think the L-1011 smokes too much. Why does it do this.

being over 18, its legal to smoke in the US... actaul BR-715 there was alota discussion about the RB-211s smokyness about a year ago in tech/ops... you can search for it.. and yes i have seen your BR-715 with quite a nasty smoking problem...

The BR715 has a smoking problem??? So that's what I saw when that 717 started up in GPT and all that White crap was coming from the back of the engine. I thought it was sand being kicked up from the construction site from the thrust of the engine, but it must have been smoke. Well, I guess it is Genetic huh. Like Parents, Like Children
