There's a picture of the "new" ANA livery on the JPV website; don't know if there's a picture on this site, but it's particularly easy to describe: JUST like the old one, but with ANA titles rather than "All Nippon Airways". That's all that's been changed. I had understood that they were going to do a complete livery change around now, but no sign of it.

I don't think this is the livery change. I heard a while back (on this forum) that the new livery would be unveiled some time in 2003 and would be mostly red instead on blue. But I personally don't think this airline needs a livery change....
I like British Airways! I'm not sure why, but I do! ;-)

NO THIS IS NOT THE NEW SCHEME.
They had a new scheme for the end of last year but since all the airline problems after 9/11 they put it on hold. They scheme was `based' on the 777-300 with the wavy scheme. At the moment ANA are doing very, very badly in terms of profits.

I've seen the pic of the 777 on justplanes.com and I wondered "What's so special about it?" I just didn't see any difference to the existing ANA colours. Now I finally know.
Is there any bad reputation of All Nippon, or why do they see a need to change the livery? It looks stylish, it's well-known among frequent travellers, and especially with the current financial situation mentioned by Hkgspotter1 they would be crazy to spend millions in a new livery.
ps: I prefer the large "ANA" titles over the Japanese writing, but maybe that is just my European way of thinking, I'm sure Japanese passengers would prefer Japanese titles.

i think the revised scheme looks great! from one of the most dated liveries in asia, with such minor changes, i'm amazed at the difference, it keeps the strong ANA brand and looks very fresh. The cheatline detailing on the tail fin has also changed. GOOD WORK ANA!
