Did the 727 ever fly scheduled passengers from the mainland to Hawaii?

I'm guessing not, though Davies mentions Trans International flying a 727-100 from Oakland to Hawaii-- on charters I assume. On another thread somebody said NW had one scheduled out of LA in the early 80s, but I checked either an OAG or an ABC or a Pocket Flight Guide or an NW timetable for

and found no NW narrowbodies to Hawaii. Anybody find one in the gaps?

Continental operated one from HNL-LAX at some point.

Any idea when? 60s? 70s? Not later than that, I assume?

MGM GRANDAIR also flew a B727-100 to HNL from LAX for a short time
in the early 90s. Continental Micronesia B727 used to operate HNL/LAX/HNL
when they were routed in for maintenance...

I've been receiving the OAG for over 30 years now and I've never seen a 727 scheduled mainland-Hawaii. I imagine that there were -100 charters but surely at a very light load.

Thirty years of OAGs. Do you have any idea how much space they take up. I still have them all. I can't read them anymore because I'm so far sighted in my right eye. I have to take them to work to have someone else read them to me. Of course I could get glasses. HA! Not until my brother does. I will not lose this bet.

Back on topic. No 727 has flown a scheduled mainland-Hawaii route. Ever.

The day you stop learning is the day you should die.
