"We have been asked for a package and have responded. We have replied to all their requirements. The ball is now in Air Malta's court. The whole process has been concluded.
"We are here available to answer any question that might come up and for any last-minute adjustments. We are very interested and keen about the deal." - Boeing

It is high time Air Malta makes their move.. I understand the political nature of the decision, but enough is enough.
If I understand it correctly, Air Malta is waiting to pick either A320 class aircraft or 737NG's..
How does Air Malta pick? from what I understand, An Airbus order makes them look better for their entry into the EU, and a Boeing Order helps in awarding Drydock work from the US in Malta...
LMML 14/32, I think you and a few other would be able to confirm or deny this...
My opinion, look for a mixed fleet. After all, Air Malta has been operating this way since 1989, and they have been profitable all that time, so the mixed fleet could not hurt profits that much, especially if they are newer aircraft.

Being a company employee does not entitle me to access the inner workings of the airline. Like you, I only know what I read in the papers.
Look forward to meeting you soon, Mjzair.
