Hi Guys this is awesome. I just found a phone number to call for the ATIS information for KCOS (Colorado Springs). It just replays the current ATIS briefing over and over again. Does your local airport have something like this? BTW I found it in the NOTAM section of COS's site www.flycos.com

Oh yeah, the phone number for KCOS ATIS is (719) 596-7040

Cool!

Yes they are. Try http://www.airnav.com there you can find ATIS phone numbers for most of the US airports.

Tucson ATIS is 520-741-1177. This is public information. It is just weather conditions.

There are usually 2 telephone numbers, one for WX information and one for ATIS.

in the US if you have a tailnumber you can call 1800-WX-BREIF to talk to a FAA/NOAAweather breifer and get NOTAMS.

Sometimes you can find the ATIS number for your local airport in the government section of the phone book. (usually under FAA)

I would like to comment on what Flyboy said. If you are not a pilot, please do not call the phone number he stated. Its not illegal to do so or anything, its just that these people are very busy and they don't really have the resources/time to talk to non-pilots or conduct unoffical business.

Flyf15 but this is AUTOMATED TERMINAL INFORMATION SYSTEM, you DO NOT talk to anybody. This is recorded message and they have over 10 lines for the same number so its never busy.
