What a pity that I have already been to all interesting destination that Ryanair offers from HHN. It's 280km from where I live to HHN. So as long as they don't add new destinations, I won't fly Ryanair again, even if the tickets are for free, because I spend much too much money when I drive to HHN.
But for those who live closer to HHN, there are some really interesting offers for August. Try flights from Hahn to Bournemouth, Pisa, Perpignan (and on some dates even Shannon), it depends on the day but there are flights for 2€ one-way, tax not included.

Yes and another problem on the FDH run is that there's only one daily flight which means that you have to stay overnight in London which is not cheap.
No chance to do a same day return trip. Maybe they start FKB service one day, that would be better.

STN-FKB was one of the routes which FR wanted to start in April, but they decided to fly to FDH instead. However, Ryanair has got ~100 738s on order, Germany is the fastest-growing market, so I'm sure we will see Ryanair somewhere in the region very soon.

Donder,
You should just go for the hell of it......granted, you might not get that much time in FRA (have you checked the bus time/lengths?), but look at it as just something to do to pass time--the best thing is that you get to fly!!
I've just come back from Sweden (see trip report)--and really enjoyed it; I've also flown to Malmo (for Copenhagen), so I guess Torp is next; I'd also like to re-visit Finland--god, I just love their language.....
What I usually do is book at least 3-4 months in advance, making sure I fly Tues-Thurs/Fri; I usually book 2 flights at a time; I've never paid more than 40 quid on any one flight; the guy at a cafe I go to every day just booked his flight to Rome with Ryanair for 80 quid--I thought that was a bit on the pricey side, but he seemed convinced he had got a bargain!
Anyway, a few hours in FRA (or the city) will be great!! Have you visited Germany before? I haven't, I still wanna go to Munich and Berlin.

Donder, your last statement was a bit bold!! I wouldn't exactly say that! You can't base your judgements on what a few aviation-loving people on this forum say--they aren't representative of the gen public!!
Wodo, you are taking up too many seats, that's unfair, give others who are sleeping a chance

It was a tongue-in-cheek reference to Lufti Picard!Aeroflot have some DC10s based at HHN now that would be worth a pic or two.I probabrly will visit the village! What is the legal drinking age in Germany?Hopefully not 21
