This years show begins on July 23 and I'll be attending the opening day and the 24th.

Who's been and what kind of aircraft can I expect to see parked on the ramp? How's the parking and traffic (driving) in?

Thanks for any info., Jeff

All I know is that a Air Atlanta 747 will be in MKE the 23rd-29th to drop off passegers that what to go to the EAA Oshkosh Show. It arrives at around 3:10pm on the July 23rd and leaves at around 4:00 on the 29th. Pretty neat to hear about this I'll be in MKE on those two days since 747's are rare here.

Park in town and use the EAA run shuttle buses from the UWO college halls to Airventure and Wittman Terminal- was $2 round trip back in 2000.
What types of a/c? Suggest you check out http://www.eaa.org

Only 2 days though - well this time maybe, but next time (and believe me there will be a next time, and another ...) you'll be there the whole week - 5 days was barely enough time for me to see everything.
Make sure you have a flight on the Ford Tri-motor - around $35 - experience passenger flying as it was once.

Have fun and soak up the atmosphere of the greatest aviation event on earth.
Lucky sob - wish I was going, maybe next year for the Wright Bros Centenary show - time to visit my bank manager I think.

According to the EAA Oshkosh Airshow website, the Air Atlanta Icelandic 747 will be arriving at Oshkosh at 6pm on Tuesday. When did you hear about it arriving at MKE instead?

http://www.airventure.org/2002/about/daily_schedule.html

Thanks, Jeff
