A friend of mine is going to fly the route Verona-Munich Munich-San Francisco at the end of july.

Does Lufthansa fly the 343, the 744 or the new entry 742 on that route at the end of july?

She's going to come back at the mid-august, the flight San Francisco-Munich will be operated by the same airliner?

Thank you

No B747s are planned to be operated from Munich this summer. All long haul flights are operated by A340-300s.

Udo

Thank you Udo!!!
I'll say it to my friend.

So, no 744 flight from Munich this summer? Strange.

I know, that is strange. I remember this time last summer when I was in MUC there was a 744 that arrived from SFO.

Yes m- last summer LH operated SFO (and I think LAX) on B744.
Now they switched every longhaul-destination of MUC to A343.

Last year, both LAX and SFO flights out of MUC were 744. However, these planes were based in FRA, and maybe LH found this solution undesirable. All longhaul flights in MUC are now operated by (local-based) A343.

The Boeing 747-400´s on the MUC-LAX and MUC-SFO routes
were based at FRA.
Their routings were FRA-LAX-MUC-LAX-FRA and
FRA-SFO-MUC-SFO-FRA but I heard they turned out to big
according to the demand!

Greets,
LH744
