Canjet Airlines issues a media release this afternoon announcing that they've been advised by Transport Canada that they will get their operating certificate tomorrow and will start flying on Thursday.
Some of the details in the release:
Flights between Toronto, Halifax and St. John's will start this Thursday.
Montreal and Ottawa service will start June 27.
Moncton will be added to the network July 4.
The airline will use four 732s with 120 seats on each.
Now to see how they'll fare (no pun intended) against Tango/Zip, Westjet and Jetsgo...

I wish Canjet the best of luck. They are a very friendly operation, and hopefully this time around, they'll do well. However, I must admit that something about the press release made me laugh a little. They claim that the 737-200 should be very positive with passengers. As good as that aircraft is, and as much as I like it, it's stretching it thinking that passengers actually like this bird!
Let's all hope that the new entrants will remain strong for a long time to come. Good luck Canjet!!!

Cessnapimp, you jaded jackass, have you nothing positive to say? LOL
It will be fun to see CJ in the air again and I'm optimistic they'll do well...during their previous incarnation, they never operated during the summer, one of the more profitable times of the year for airlines. Hopefully it will be a longer term competitor to WJ, Jetsgo and Tango.
