Hello

Can anyone tell me why QF138, WLG - MEL flew to Melbourne this morning ontime but without any passengers? QF34 AKL - MEL ended up coming via WLG to get the pax originally booked on QF138!

PS - Its really nice to see 767's at WLG again

Jase

I checked up on it and it was because there were no cabin crew available to operate the service. However, added freight uplift was made available.

Cheers for that

So the 73G flew with just a tech crew and cargo?

Does that increase the amount of cargo they can carry?

the 73G ended up in CHC as I saw it when I went to see the 747 that was doing QF45/46 today.

We had another QF 763 in Wellington last night (Monday)

QF117 a Polynesian Airlines 737-800 went Tech, so QF49 operating SYD - AKL made a 45 min stop in WLG to drop off the affected pax, and then continued to AKL.

Was that around midnight Jase?
If so, then I heard it landing; I thought there was something different about that reverse thrust sound.
Had a few lately. The ones you mention plus the two charters carrying the Japanese PM and Greek President.  Smile

NZ767:

Yep - It's landed at 23:15 and left at 00:03.

Watched it taking off from my balcony - Fantastic to see them climb off the small runway at WLG/NZWN
