I wonder what they will use the A300s for? About Angel Airlines, have they stop service all together? I heard something on the line that they are restructuring the airline but not sure if they will never fly again. What about PB Air's planned routes to Europe from Krabi or Phuket? They srapped that too? Sorry for being off subject!

It is good news, Bangkok Air has the potential to develop into a major regional carrier in the South China Sea area, connecting many smaller cities and resorts as tourism and travel in that area of the world expands. Just as SilkAir operates smaller routes for Singapore, Bangkok can fill this role for Thai.
A300s are also possible, Thai currently operates very large aircraft, including 744s, on the route connecting Bangkok and Phuket, simply for lift, as the flight is about 1.5 hours. The A300s could be used on some internal flights, and possible flights within Asia to the Thai resorts of Phuket and Ko Samui.
