When I say strange, it's actually flying strange. Over my suburban neighborhood, this plane keeps swooping overhead at no more than 100'. It appears to have cameras mounted below both wings, and there is a higher plane following it. Is this filming for a movie perhaps? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

N5030 does not exist. N503D however, does. Air Tractors are usually used for crop dusting, but I guess filming is not out of the question.

Per the FAA's N-number inquiry page, N5030 is not assigned, or held in reserve. Perhaps it was a fictional N-number for a movie, so maybe you did see some filming going on. Regards.

For those interested, I saw on the news that this plane was among a crew of crop dusters today fighting the gypsy moth in the area. Interesting site nonetheless! Big grin

A crew of crop dusters? Must be a pretty big moth! Big grin

Someday, we'll look back at this, laugh nervously, and then change the subject.
