Where are you....

If you go one mile due south, ten miles due east and, then one mile due north... and end up exactly where you started?

(Aviation related? Well, sort of!)

Or a planet with a 10 km circumference... In this case you could start anywhere one mile north of the equator  Smile

There's a more veiled version of this that I've always loved because the question asked has nothing to do with geography.

A hunter leaves his camp, goes 1m south, 10 miles east, shoots a bear, and returns 1 mile north to his camp- What color is the bear?

Can you go East from the north pole? Every direction would be south, right?

I guess it would have to be the north/south pole.

You can't go south from the south pole Beefmoney. Also note that it is first 1 mile south, then east.

Perhaps and I think were a bit soft, I think that Hurricane and Qantas744 knew exactly that it is the north pole.

Now for a tougher one. How far is up?

Quit calling an airport ramp "Tarmac" and a taxiway "runway".
