When exactly is LOT Polish Airlines to join the Star Alliance? Also, when can we expect a LOT 767 painted in Star Alliance colors.

LOT will join Star Alliance before May 31, 2003.

Not sure if we'll see a LOT 767 in Star Alliance colour.

Meanwhile, Spanair will join Star in the next 6-9 months.

American still handles LOT at JFK, I don't know about a 76 in Star colors, we still get a 300 in Universal Airlines livery...lol.

we still get a 300 in Universal Airlines livery...lol. .... and a 300 from Universal in short term LOT colors with a sticker  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Why a 767 in Star c/s? Is there some sort of a rule in the alliance regarding this? It could be another type of plane... And as for the date, LOT'll join Star before May 31, 2003 as said earlier, as soon as they change their standards and procedures to the ones used in the alliance.

BRGDS, Gdabski

PS> I'm not a fan of Star but I hope that when LOT will end the codeshare with AA maybe we'll see some AA aircraft here in WAW...

Perhaps when the 763 SP-LPB leased to Universal comes back to LOT, it will be painted in the Star scheme.

LOT will join Star in 12 months...LOT has begin code-sharing with LH and OS.

No words on when Asiana will join. I suppose LOT and Asiana will either join on the effective date of the 2002/03 winter timetable.

SP-LPB has returned from lease to Universal in Warsaw. Peter says it will be painted back in LOT scheme, but I say it might be Star Alliance colors.
