Well, I think the airline shoudl announce the order whenever it is ready, but at an event like Farnborough, I would think there could potentially be increased publicity for orders as a whole between Airbus And Boeing.

SIA is still going to receive the A340-500. The delivery date keeps postponed.

Thai Airways has received offers from Airbus for A340-500/600 and Boeing for B747-400/777-300ER for current 743/M11 replacement.

The SIA A345s are in a state of flux and a decision will be made on them by the end of July 2002.

Now, it doesn't look like SQ make any major announcement about the A345 by the end of July.

No, it's just a fleet decision on whether they will order the 744XQLR or A345. If they order the A345, I dont expect any announcement.

Singapore_Air,

If I'm not mistaken, SIA has already ordered 5 A345.

Perhaps the announcement is about whether SIA will dump the 345.
