I flew on it in 1989 with my parents from LHR-JFK on BA. It took 3hrs 20minutes and we left LHR around 9am and arrived around 820am. Good fun. The take-off was quick and I remember the plane pointing up at a high angle.
The seats were fine but not great. They were worse than seats you find on First Class in the USA. I know BA has changed them by now many times over.
My mom loved the wine and smoked salmon and I loved the visit to the flight deck.

The food was terrific, the crew brilliant, the free goodie pack marvellous, the passenger load about 75-80%, the chattering American couple in the seat behind me ANNOYING, the view excellent, the seats horrible and the wait for the lavs long!

I have done it twice. With both AF and BA for my surveys.
Fast but not comfortable. I prefer a first class seat above the Concorde. When I am in a hurry I would go for the concordes but otherwise no thanks.

No, but I had the chance in late '98 to do it cheap and didn't take it because I was in a difficult technical course and didn't want to miss a day. FOOL, that I was, since I later had to pull out of the course. The flight was for a special promotion (I forget for what) and only took off from JFK, went out over the Atlantic and accelerated to Mach 2 for 15 minutes, then turned around and came back. It would've cost me ONLY $900.! Yes, I've slammed the Concorde for it's inefficiency but this would've been an experience. As the ad said: "One chance in a lifetime". Too bad.

Don't despair AVObserver, BA are doing regular promotions, and on full supersonic transatlantic services, so save the pennies and keep a regular look out, they'll be heads-up on future ones on this site, and/or http://concordesst.com.html
