PRobably the AMS-IAH flight diverted. There were some heavy storms this morning (just stopped here in the downtown area about an hour ago, and the storms were headed north, I think).

KLM has three or four of their 744M aircraft in KLM Asia colours. However they operate the AMS-BKK-TPE flight once daily [KLM aircraft to TPE must have KLM asia colors, because Chinna will not allow KLM to fly to TPE...]. Having four aircraft for one daily RT flight is too much. Therefore the "spare" KLM asia aircraft are rotated on other routes.
Having typed all this, I just realized that you were mentioning DFW [for some reason I read DTW...oh well, it's getting late on the Euro side of the pond!].
Yeah, DFW is very unusual for KLM. It could be a charter. However, a IAH diversion is also likely given the time it arrived. The IAH flight [KL661] is scheduled to arrive IAH at 13.40 local time.

Flight KL662 from Houston to Amsterdam is 2hrs 43mins late coming in to Schiphol this morning (30 June). The aircraft must have diverted into DFW on the outbound flight KL661.

Thanks for the replies. I found out that IAH had bad weather and the flight into IAH was diverted here to DFW. The AF CDG-IAH flight was also supposed to divert here but made it into IAH. I don't know what happened with the LH flight though. It's pretty neat when the LH IAH flight diverts here as we have 2 LH340's parked side by side. I've seen this twice before. It's also the 4th time I've seen KL here but the 1st for KL Asia. I've seen KL Asia in HKG but I didn't know they had 4 planes painted this way.

Does anybody know how DFW is able to handle the diversions? There is not enough room at Terminal B to handle all of those widebodies at once, especially coupled with the scheduled BA,LH, and KE flights.
Terminal A is filled with AA widebodies so customs would take forever when you combine the AA flights(asia, latin america, canada, europe) with the foreign airlines' flights.
Terminal C can only handle 767s in rare cases.
Terminal E might have some room, but not a whole lot.
