Hi

Has anyone got any further news on the second bmi baby base?

I believe it was due to be announced Friday, but I haven't seen anything reported as yet.

I'm still hoping it will be Leeds Bradford International.....no doubt I will be dissappointed!

cheers

Fax

I believe it will probably be out of this five:
Manchester
Teesside
Bournemouth
Leeds/Bradford
Norwich (most unlikely)

The two favourites are probably Teesside and Bournemouth

I know Bournemouth has a new terminal in planning- but could Tees-Side cope with the extra traffic if they got lucky?

Apparently 99% sure that it will be Norwich, don't think anything has been announced yet though.

The problem with Teesside is that if a low cost airline bases at NCL (most likely Go/easyJet), then BMI Baby would lose a lot of pax to NCL, as they would be hoping for NCL pax to use MME.

I think that they should set up at Bagby/Thirsk - mid way between Leeds and Teesside, within striking distance of Manchester, and do-able from the Humberside area too...

One snag - its only got a 800 meter grass runway Big grin
