DBA is offering tickets for as low as 1 €+tax for July and August.
Roundtrip fares including taxes can be booked for around 25 €. Awesome deal for a short period of time.
I just booked my trip to Berlin.
Hope this is of any help to some of you !

Rgds,
B737-700

Nice, thanks for this tip!
I just got myself a couple of nice spotting daytrips from DUS to TXL and MUC for just 28 Euro per return trip.

Don't worry, easyJet will probably operate from FRA one day, possibly in a former DBA or go plane.

That's great news! Too bad I don't have my duty rota for August yet, but I feel like I should book soon, those 1€ ticktes will be sold out soon. I'm going to book a same-day return STR-TXL-STR for late August, and in case I don't get that day free, heck I only lose 28€  Big grin

What day are you travelling, B737-700? In case you don't want to say it on the net, you can send me an eMail as well, of course. Thanks in advance anyway for this great information, finally a *real* low-cost airline serving STR  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Hi Ndebele,

I'm going on July 20th. But my parents decided to come along for that price so that's probably not going to be a spotter meeting for me.

It's indeed a fantastic price ! This should happen much more often.

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery".

More great news for German consumers. Finally, more airline managers in Europe are beginning to wake up and smell the coffee. And the people like it!!

Good luck, and enjoy your cheap flights!

Aah I see, B737-700. In July I don't have any time for those trips anyway, with my last exam ("Steuerlehre") on 23July, and from 24July onwards my boss wants to see me at work every day for the rest of my life.. (dramatization, but I will have to work a lot, after nearly one month off. Plus the summer holiday traffic). I hope I'll manage to do my trip to TXL in late August. Thanks anyway, B737-700!

ps: I guess we'll see lots of DBA trip reports within the next few weeks  Big grin

Yes you are right !
I hope the weather will be fine as I really want to fly with some nice weather ! Usually it's just overcast when I take off to the skies.

The bad part with the trip reports is that as it is a no frills flight, there won't be too much to report. But let's just wait and see.

Hi,

I have just booked my flights HAM-MUC-HAM on August, 16. Return fare incl. taxes EUR 25,26...  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I will have only 4 hours in MUC, so is there any possibility to watch the planes from inside the airport ?

Cheers,

Fabian

"I really want to fly with some nice weather"
And you want to fly with some nice flight attendants  Smile/happy/getting dizzy What a pity that Mr and Mrs B737-700 will be sitting next to you...

As for the trip report, I usually include some information about the punctuality of the flights, seat pitch, my spotting at the airport, ... writing a detailed trip report after a Ryanair flight was never a big problem for me, so I'm sure I will have something to write about a DBA trip as well.

My trip reports have taught you quite a bit, huh ?
D'Oh, about my possible seatneighbors. Lol.

Looks like many people of airliners.net are taking advantage of this great deal. Happy flying to all of you.

To everybody who receives German TV: there is a TV program tomorrow night, Tue 02Jul 22:15h Südwest-Fernsehen "Zeichen der Zeit: Presikampf über den Wolken", it's about Ryanair, Easyjet/DBA and all the other low-cost airlines flying to Germany.

I booked a roundtrip on Fly-DBA from DUS to TXL on August 10th (7:30) and back on 18:00 same day. All in all € 26,37. Cool fare.

Did someone get a confirmation email by fly-dba? I only got the confirmation via net (including the booking no.).

I have got a "real" e-mail "Lieber Herr Schütz,
anbei erhalten Sie Ihre Buchungsbestätigung.
Bitte drucken Sie diesen Beleg für ihre Flugunterlagen aus...."
from "auroresponder.flugbuchung (at) deutsche.ba...".

But I am sure with your booking number shown your flight is confirmed !

DI is going crazy!

Herbman and have booked two flights, the first on August 10 to MUC and two weeks later on August 24 to TXL. On both flights we have only one hour between when we arrived and our flight back to DUS.

Who needs Ryanair?

Perhaps we'll meet at the check in for DBA flights. My flight departs on 10th August to TXL on 7:30. (but I have 10 hours in Berlin for sightseeing)

@all:
I called Fly-Dba. You do not need a email confirmation. The printed confirmation with the booking code is all you need. The serves has very high traffic at the moment  Wink/being sarcastic

@Fabian Schuetz:
Spotting from the terminal at Munich is not so good. I spent a few hours on my last trip in November in Munich (FCO-MUC-DUS). You can see the planes taxiing at the terminals.
I think its easier for you to visit the "observation hill" at Munich airport.
