Thai Airways International - A member of Star Alliance - The Airline Network For Earth, announced plans that it will not sell 10% of itself to a foreign investor.

Instead, it will simply sell shares in itself to Thai investors. Second Vice Chairman Somchainuek Engtrakul said that the selling of shares will begin at the end of 2002.

Previously, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines Group were interested in buying a stake in TG. This has now gone out the window.
