I need some help from professionals.Thanks.

At night (around 20:00),there are many planes flying above the Victoria Harbour. Can you tell if they're landing or taking off from the direction of their paths?I hope you can understand what I mean.

Thanks for your help!

I am not a professional, but I can answer your question.
After taking off from the RWY 07L/R, some of the planes will fly over the Victoria Habour towards Tung Lung. Landing at VHHH do not need to fly over Victoria Habour.

I live in central and at night a/c seem to route across the harbour rather than over the island direct. Maybe some noise abatement.

Will ask one of the CX drivers for real reason.

acfts flying across the Habour are probably departing from 07L/R heading to Tung Lung. acfts flying over Hong Kong Isl. are probably heading towards Cheung Chau on their way to landing on 07R.
