Most of the DC-8s are in storage. Emery did not own all of them. They have been returned to the lessors. Some have been sold to an outfit that I think is a leasing company. Two of the 63s have gone to South America and at least two of the 70s went to Air Transport Intl and one 62 has gone to MK Air Cargo. Two 63s went to Murray Aviation last summer. I too had heard that a lot of the eights were in bad shape.

As was stated a couple went to BAX/ATI and can be seen in TOL daily. From what i'm told, they were used to retire the remain -6Xs that were in the dedicated BAX fleet...but the passenger/combi -6Xs are still around.
