An American Airlines B777-223 made an emergency landing at YYT today around 1530 local time.
The landing was made because the batteries were overheating.
I was told the flight was coming from LHR-EWR, but that's unofficial.
I was called in later to work an AA A300-600 that was ferried to YYT to pick up the passengers and fly them to EWR or wherever they were going.
The A300 came in around 2230 local and just departed around 40 mins ago at 2340.
The reg for the A300 was N70079 and the reg for the B777 was N750AN.
Coincidently, this particular 777 was also one of the AA 777's that diverted here to YYT on 9/11. I also it worked then.
For those interested, the 777 will be here overnight and will leave sometime tomorrow morning. The crew was over duty time so it will probably be late morning early afternoon before they leave.
