I was at www.Boeing.com
and I was reading about this new stamp with a Boeing 747 on it with a little girl watching this huge jet at the gate windows. I think its very nice that Boeing has done something like this. I think the 747 in the stamp is a Lufthansa 747 from what it looked like. Also I suggest u watch the videos there they are really amazing!

I haven't seen such a postal stamp yet but if it does exist it wasn't Boeing that did it. The U.S. Postal Service decides what images will get a stamp, they take ideas from the public. Remember the Elvis stamp?

I asked about buying the 747 stamp while at the Post Office yesterday, and the poor clerk looked puzzled. She asked the other clerks and finally someone saw it on a poster advertising special packages of stamps, such as the 60’s, 70’s, and so on. Anyway, the stamp is not going to be released en mass, it’s only available when you buy the 70’s package for collecting. The clerk that was waiting on me said, "I hate it when they do that." I was disappointed, because I was going to buy a bunch, but what are ya gone a do? It’s to bad that Boeing failed to mention that fact!
Yes, the videos on the birthday page are very good. For any serious 747 fan they are a must to see.
