Just a quick update. AA 738 service at Miami is starting to steadily increase. There will likely be more additions because the current layover timings make no sense.

This summer there will be daily flights to 4 destinations.
BDL, ORD, DCA, and MGA

A-AA971 BDL651A-MIA943A
AA971 MIA1110A-MGA1153A
SAME A/C
AA970 MGA1P-MIA540P
AA970 MIA705P-920P

B-AA1781 ORD6A-MIA959A
C-AA822 MIA11OP-DCA333P
SAME A/C
AA511 DCA432P-MIA709P
D-AA758 MIA730P-BDL1032P

I dont know how this is going to work. I double checked, I think they just didnt put all of the flights into the schedule yet.

Any news on when AA will start using the 738 to DFW and what the likely routes will be?

I've flown on 9V-SPK.

i do not know, i would have thought that if anything, AA would be doing DFW-ORD first and when ever i go to DFW i look for the 738 but i never see it

AA still does not fly the 738 into DFW. Even Delta and Continental do. Makes me wonder if AA will get the 738 into DFW before Delta gets its 764 on HNL services ...

i would beleive that american will probably put one or two of the new 738's on the mia-lga route, since some of the layovers are not making any sense.and that is strange that AA does not have any at the dfw hub.3 to 4 years from now their will be such an abundance of them in miami phasing out the 727 routes, hopefully.
