There is only one picture of this plane in 2002. Anyone know why? Has anyone seen it lately?

I recall someone saying that she was due for a D check; or they might've meant Nalanji, not sure.  Smile

Doesn't a D-check take a month or 2? Well hopefully you guys in the QF region can get some more pics up soon. I love this plane!

D check would make sense. Had my worst 747 flight ever on this aircraft in April 1997, SIN - LHR, just before its last D check and repainting in the ethnic scheme.

The cabin was a wreck and as an advert for QANTAS, the aircraft was a total negative.

OJB was originally painted in 94......remember seeing this in LHR and Farnborough airshow shortly afterwards.

D checks on 744 are approx every 7 to 8 yrs

Apologies, Babaero, you are correct. That'll teach me to check my logs and not rely on memory!!!

NZ767 is correct, VH-OJB was indeed offline.

I believe it had it's D Check done, this can be confirmed by other Airliners.net users. However VH-OJB also had it's new Cabin Interior (seat fabrics, curtains, carpets and colors) installed, as well as it's new IFE system. This means larger touch screens & computer outlets in First & Business. Also individual screens in all Y Class seats and inseat phones through out the entire aircraft.

VH-OJB was due out online July 2nd 2002. I believe it's been confirmed by "AI" her saw her Sat July 6th back in the air.

So VH-OJB should be looking glamorous once again.

Thanks

She was in Hong Kong on July 8th and 9th and I think went to Singapore / London on the 10th.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

There are less photos added of aircraft that are already numerous times in the database, it's a stated policy of a.net.

This means you have to be really good to get yet another shot of VH-OJB added.
