Does anyone know how the PA-BN service between LHR-DAL worked back in the late 60 and early 70s. I know the routing was LHR-ORD-DAL. I think PA operated the service, but I don’t know what BNs role was in the deal. I would also like to know if it was the same aircraft through to DAL and what type. I think a 707-320B, but not sure. Anyone know where I could find a 1969 PA timetable? Are there any Pan Am or Braniff old timers out there that can help?

7/69 OAG shows PA/BN flights 58 and 59 daily Houston-DAL-ORD-LHR-FRA-- just says 707, no indication of whose. Far as we can see it was a thru aircraft with BN crews south of ORD. Maybe Cearley's DAL book has a pic.
BN and PA both operated 707-320B/Cs, so no problem here. But I wonder if AA really had DC-8 pilots when they operated NA (or was it DL?) DC-8s to the West Coast from Florida or wherever it was.

The Cearly book shows AA 707's flying MIA-MSY-DAL-LAX with AA/DL/NA interchange. The DAL-LHR flight was with PA 707's.

Thanks for your help. I am fascinated with DAL in the late 60s and 70s. Trying to fill in some gaps.

PanAm's aircraft were not flown on any regular basis to DAL.
...three miles from BRONS, clear for the ILS one five approach...

According to the Cearly book it shows photos of PA 707 N759PA making the 1st flight on 7/1/62. The printed schedules also show as PA 707's daily HOU-DAL-ORD-LHR-FRA. I couldn't find the dates the flights ended.

Yup, near as we can make out DL did operate AA 707s, and AA did operate DL (or NA?) DC-8s. It ended in Summer 1961, which I guess is when DL and NA got their own routes to the West Coast.
But AA never flew those Trans Caribbean DC-8's, did they?
