About three weeks ago, a Libyan B727 took-off from Beirut International Airport on a flight bound for Tripoli, Libya. After take-off, the flight crew discovered that the autopilot was not functioning properly. My god....Doesn't anybody know how to hand fly an aircraft anymore???

What the hell did pilots do before they had autopilots.

Losing an autopilot should not be an emergency, especially on the homebound leg. Maybe on the outbound one, but not the inbound leg.

OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

Yes, there was probably more to it than a simple A/P failure. Most aircraft these days are allowed to dispatch with one inoperative, unles the route you are flying or the approach you plan makes it neccessary.
