Eel is extremely popular in Japan, especially in the summertime... This Japan Airlines flight attendant shows off a live a live eel in her hands at Narita Airport... definitely beyond the call of duty....  Smile

ooop.... a minor correction, that flight attendant works for Japan Asia Airways, a subsidiary of Japan Airlines....

The eel is part of a 20-TON shipment from Taiwan, the major eel exporter, arriving at Narita Airport...

Unagi, fresh water eels, are a Japanese delicacy. Cleaned and cooked slowly over charcoal and served with a light sauce, it is truly a highly sought after mouth-watering delicacy in Japan.
