I've just been out with some friends/ex colleauges from BMI, and they said that as from today (23rd July) the title of the airline has now been changed from 'BMI - British Midland' to just 'BMI'.
When I got in, I had an e-mail also from another friend/ex colleauge at BMI who said that BMI have sold the 4th A332 to Emirates, as they have no use for it, and the 3rd one is up for sale.
Anyone else heard this ?.

Leezyjet,
Thanks for the info. Would you have a timeframe on when the sale will be made and the acft be delivered to Emirates ? I would assume there would be a reconfig. to Emirates' std. HD or LD config. pre-delivery by Airbus.

I have heard that it will be leased, with an option to buy. To me that makes more sense, just in case the door at LHR-USA gets opened a very tiny, tiny crack to allow new service on a very, very limited basis.
