What About JAL´s Silver Scheme?

A few months ago there was talk on this forum that JAL wants to strip airplanes from colour and let them fly in natural metal (like their freighter JA8180). I would love to see a silver 744 soon, so does anybody know when we can expect the first to fly?

JAL has stated they will begin flying a polished aircraft scheme much like American Airlines' scheme. They decided this after determining large amounts of saved money on fuel costs from their polished Super Logistics freighter JA8180. It was in an issue of Airways a few months back (the one with the NW A320 on the cover I believe).

From what I understand, JAL really likes the way this looks and at the same time cuts costs.

If memory serves, JAL is only considering this for the 747F fleet, not the pax fleet. Aesthetics perhaps.




Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.
