One More A330-200 For Qatar

Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al-Thani a prominent businessman and part owner of Qatar Airways will be getting an A330-200 as a private transport. Qatari Customers for the A330-200 now include Qatar Airways, Qatari Government and of course Hamad Al-Thani.

Qatar i believe are also getting a new A330-200 and will be registered as A7-ACB .... Also i think i saw Qatar Airways are getting an A340-500 but it won't be delivered till next June (2003) i can't remember where i read it otherwise i would have put the URL on.

Yes Qatar Airways now have 2 A330-200s and 6 more will be joining the fleet. The Qatari Government is also getting one which has already been built and is currently being outfitted and now there is a third Qatari customer, the one I mentioned above.

Nothing besides that they will operate 4 times weekly starting in the Winter of 2002 with the A300-600R.

In the Sept 2002 issue of AIRWAYS, there is a very good article on Qatar Airways which talks about them getting the A330-200s.
