As far as I know, KLM do not serve Miami because Martinair already operate the Amsterdam-Miami route as a scheduled operation (Martinair is 100% owned by KLM) Whereas both airlines fly to Orlando, I suspect this is due to there being higher demand in this market, as from the UK. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays there must be about 20 UK-Orlando flights compared to 3 or 4 UK-Miami services!

Also, does Northwest fly to Amsterdam from MIA. In Boston we used to get KLM 747's to AMS, but when they implemented the relationship with it switched to a Northwest DC-10. I always wondered about this, and I poseted here, and someone said it has to do with an alliance committee that decides which airline flies where. I think this stinks because Boston really need some new colour, other than BA, SR, SN, AF, etc.
